Why a restaurant in Budaun decided to name itself after a grandmother.
Dadi Ki Rasoi began with a simple frustration â that eating out so often meant trading taste and warmth for speed and shortcuts. We wanted a place where a family could sit down to a thali that tasted the way it does at home: unhurried, generous, and cooked by hand.
So we built our menu the way a grandmother builds a kitchen â one trusted recipe at a time. Tandoori chaap and paneer marinated overnight. Dals slow-simmered instead of rushed. Parathas rolled fresh for every order, not stacked ahead of time. It's more work, but it's the only way food tastes like ghar jaisa khana â truly home-style.
Every dish that leaves our kitchen carries his eye for detail â from sourcing the freshest vegetables each morning to making sure every table, cabin and celebration is looked after personally. Dadi Ki Rasoi is his way of bringing the warmth of a family kitchen to all of Budaun.
"Har thali mein apnapan hona chahiye â yahi Dadi Ki Rasoi ka usool hai."
We're a 100% pure vegetarian kitchen, from the tandoor to the dessert counter. Our dining hall seats groups big and small, with private cabins for family gatherings, and a hall that transforms for birthdays, ring ceremonies and anniversaries on the weekend.
Every dish on our menu, from breakfast to dessert, is 100% vegetarian â no exceptions, no substitutions.
We don't pre-cook and hold. Your tikka goes on the tandoor, your dal goes on the flame, only after you order.
From a quiet weekday lunch to a full ring-ceremony buffet, our team plans around your family's needs.
